A magnitude 7.1 earthquake shakes Haiti


A magnitude 7.1 earthquake has shaken Haiti. The epicenter was reported 150 kilometers west of the capital, Port of Prince, according to the US Geological Survey.

People fled their homes after the quake and the situation is now "noisy", according to Reuters. Details of the damage have not been released. A powerful earthquake in Haiti in 2010 killed thousands and destroyed many infrastructures.

Another powerful earthquake struck 11 years ago without completing the reconstruction.
