Kathmandu: The government is preparing for a smart lockdown. The Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) has proposed a smart lockdown at its board of directors meeting on Friday. A meeting of the Board of Directors was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. "Where there is a high incidence of infection, the CCMC has proposed a concept that can be stopped by the district or local level concerned," said CCMC spokesperson Nur Hari Khatiwada. He clarified that the concept of lockdown in a scientific and practical way is a smart lockdown. Although the lockdown that has been going on till now has been done through the district administration office, it has been under the control of the center. In the upcoming lockdown, the district can decide on its own. According to the concept of smart lockdown, where the corona infection increases, there is a lockdown, where it decreases, it becomes open.

Kathmandu: A meeting of the CPN-UML Standing Committee is scheduled to be held. Secretary-General Ishwor Pokharel convened the meeting on Saturday in consultation with Chairman KP Sharma Oli. According to a UML party office source, the meeting to be held in the afternoon at Tulsilal Memorial Foundation will discuss the agenda including preparation of the General Convention, completion of the Central Department, and renewal of membership. BIRATNAGAR: Bhim Parajuli, chief of the Biratnagar Metropolitan City, was chased by local youths from Munalpath in Biratnagar at around 9:15 pm saying that he had secretly vaccinated him by calling only his supporters.
