One Killed, Three Injured In Truck-Scooter Collision In Chitwan

One person has died on the spot when a truck hit two scooters at the same time in the descent of a water tank at Aaptari in Bharatpur of Chitwan.

Three persons have been injured in the accident that took place at 2:55 pm today.A woman was killed on the spot when a truck loaded with iron (Ga 1 Kha 9756) heading towards Lamjung from Narayangarh hit a scooter (Province 3-003P3543) and a scooter (Province 2-03-007P7196) coming from the opposite direction. Police spokesperson Surya Bahadur Thapa informed that Chinmaya Poudel, 40-42, of Devghat-1, died on the spot.

The driver of the same scooter, Pushparaj Bastola, 35, of Bharatpur-11 has been seriously injured. He is undergoing treatment at the old medical college.

The injured have been identified as Til Bahadur Gurung, 30, of Devghat VDC-5 and Siru Gurung, 35, of Devghat-5. He is undergoing treatment at a new medical college. According to the police, his condition is normal.
