One dies after drowning in frozen ditch in Sarlahi

One person has died in Sarlahi after drowning in frozen water in a pit dug for gravel. The deceased has been identified as Bir Bahadur Waiba, 50, of Bagmati Municipality-3.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Sarlahi, Madhav Prasad Budhathoki said that he drowned in the frozen water in an eight-foot deep pit dug at Chauri in Lalbandi Municipality-15.

He said that the body was sent to District Hospital, Malangwa for postmortem.
