A girl has drowned in the Barama river.

The deceased has been identified as Roshan Tara, 9, daughter of Abdul Kalam of Adarsh Kotwal Gaonpalika-8, Jamuniya.

She had gone to graze goats on the banks of the river Jamuni.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Bara, Deputy Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra informed that the victim drowned in the river while washing his hands and feet in the river.
